This post will involve teaching singing to students across various courses run by the school, ensuring the course objectives are met and supporting the course leader in the co-ordination of teaching of all performance programmes.You will also be required to support with administration and assessment for the course, preparing yearly and daily class plans and integrating specialist skills into acting and production projects.This post is permanent, part-time, 0.3 FTE (10.8 hours per week)Skills and Qualifications required The successful candidate will hold a degree in a relevant area or equivalent professional experience or practise. Appropriate recent teaching experience and experience of relevant professional theatre work is essential in addition to experience of working independently in designing and planning learning activities.You will also have excellent communications skills, the ability to teach acting through song and a clear understanding of how students learn both generally and within their subject areas.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
