The DepartmentThe Centre for Trauma Asylum and Refugees (CTAR) located in our Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies* (currently the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies) is recognised internationally as one of the leading centres for work that focuses on the multidimensional complexities of the Refugee experience and the therapeutic dimensions specifically. We are now seeking to appoint a Part-time Lecturer in the field of Refugee Care. *anticipated departmental title from 1 August 2017.
The RoleThis is a permanent post for 7.2 hours per week starting on the 1 September 2017. You will take up a teaching and organisational role on our MA Refugee Care programme, and contribute to teaching on a new undergraduate module on the psychodynamics of trauma. Working collaboratively with the Director of CTAR, you will play a part in developing CTAR activities, as well as contributing to planning for new undergraduate modules and contribute to the development of high quality grant proposals and funding applications in this area.
The PersonKnowledge of the existing programme in Refugee Care, and experience working with refugees and refugee organisations, are essential. You should have relevant teaching experience. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant subject area, or equivalent professional qualification.
