School of Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences
This is an exciting time to join our new School, which is being formed by the merger of academic provision in sports and exercise science, sports therapy and physiotherapy, combined with significant new investment in a key area that we intend to grow into a distinctive world-leading group. In early 2018 the School will benefit from the brand new Sports Centre at our Colchester Campus. This state-of-the-art centre will bring together education, rehabilitation, exercise and research, with facilities ranging from a sports hall the size of three basketball courts to dedicated laboratories for research. We also have two dedicated labs for physiotherapy training, along with two dedicated labs for sports therapy training and the Sports Therapy Clinic.
Duties of the Role
You will be responsible for the management of the Sports Therapy Clinic to ensure an effective service for clients. You will also contribute to the delivery of the practice elements of the Sports Therapy Degree including the teaching and assessment of students in the Sports Therapy Clinic and supporting their learning in practice.
Skills and Qualifications required
We are looking for someone with experience in working in sports therapy, or a related area, who also has experience working with patients in an injury clinic or other capacity. You must have a degree in Sports Therapy or a related discipline.
