Essex Business School is the largest academic department at the University of Essex and is located on two of its Campuses - at Colchester and Southend. The School has an opportunity for a highly organised and proactive Executive Education Officer to play a key role in supporting the delivery of executive education programmes to business.
The Role and DutiesWorking closely with the Director of Executive Education the post-holder will ensure the effective delivery of the planning, promotion and execution of programmes. The Executive Education Officer will assist in the development of new open and customised executive education programmes and events, support the development of corporate sector engagement and increase the brand awareness, reputation and impact of executive education from Essex Business School. The role will play a key administrative role in ensuring that the target audience of small-to-medium sized businesses and corporate sector directors and senior managers receive a professional, high-value experience when engaging with the School and participating on executive education programmes.
Qualifications and SkillsYou will be educated to A-level or an equivalent qualification/experience, and hold a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at A-C or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics at Grade B or above.
We are looking for a proactive, organised and highly motivated individual to join our School who is professional and confident in dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a higher education student or client-facing administration role, or an equivalent business environment, and possess experience of programme or events administration, promotion and delivery. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are all essential for the post, as is an ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst remaining calm under pressure.
The post is fixed-term, part-time (18 hours per week) until 31 August 2019 as it is linked to a temporary funding source.
