We are now looking to appoint a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy.
This role will require teaching and support of students across our existing programmes, and generally enhancing our research-led teaching.
We have a strong reputation for our innovative educational delivery of Speech and Language Therapy programmes, including recent development of one of the UK’s first Speech and Language Therapy Degree Apprenticeship courses.
You will be expected to assist the Head of Division, providing practical support to the team and undertake programme/ module leadership and teaching, assessment duties where needed.
We welcome applications from candidates from any background relevant to Speech & Language Therapy, including linguistics, psychology and education. Areas in paediatric and/or developmental disorders of speech and/or language and communication are desirable.
In addition for those applying at Grade 9 ASER level, you will develop a research agenda, which pursues individual and/or collaborative research objectives and produce research outputs for publication and submit grant applications and obtain funding for your research.

About youYou will have relevant professional experience or practice or relevant doctoral level degree or be close to completion and ideally will have HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist or an equivalent EU / International registration.
It is essential that candidates experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential to engage in teaching and learning support and a clear understanding of how students learn both generally and within their subject/disciplinary area(s).For ASER contracts, you will have a clear publication plan for submission to future Research Excellence Framework (REF) programmes and evidence of a research agenda, engagement in high-quality research activity and a developing research profile.
