The University of Essex has an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge Exchange Manager to join our Enterprise Team within the Research and Enterprise Office at the Colchester campus. Duties of the RoleThe successful applicant will work closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Designate) to further develop our partnerships with the digital, creative and cultural sector, identifying and proactively developing new funding opportunities, supporting our connectivity to creative industries and enhancing our contributions to the regional economy through creative sector growth. The post is for a fixed term and an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for the digital, creative and cultural industries to develop a career in Higher Education knowledge exchange. The role is advertised as full time but 4 days per week could be considered. Qualifications and Skills requiredThe successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Candidates should also have experience of the University Sector as well as an understanding of how Universities can support businesses and external organisations. Experience of working in or with creative industries as well as an ability to learn how to use online databases (including CRM/Inteum) and good communication skills both oral and written are all essential for this role.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
