We take an innovative and creative approach to our work and are at the forefront of new and best practice in communications, marketing, and stakeholder and customer service.This is an exciting opportunity to join the Advancement Office which is responsible for delivering Alumni Relations and Philanthropy at the University. The Alumni Relations team manage our on-going relationship with the University's 100,000 graduates and deliver a lifelong membership programme which informs and engages our global alumni community. The Philanthropy team develop and manage a portfolio of supporters to the University, with a focus on individuals (including alumni, staff and other stakeholders), charitable trusts and foundations and corporates, in support of scholarships, student activities and research.Duties of the RoleThe post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering communications and marketing activity for the Advancement Office. You will be responsible for digital communications activity across social media, email, web and other marketing activity. Working closely with both the Alumni Relations and Philanthropy teams, this role will devise communications plans which support engagement of our key stakeholders and deliver campaigns to help achieve our strategic aims.Skills and qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will be educated to A Level or equivalent standard and will have experience working within a Marketing, Communications or Alumni Relations environment. You will bring passion and an in-depth knowledge of social media to grow our online engagement with alumni and Advancement stakeholders. With advanced copy writing skills, you will be able to adapt content for different audiences. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. It is also essential that you have an enthusiastic, proactive, customer focussed and results orientated approach and have the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues across the University.
