The ProjectThis project, funded by the European Research Council, and based in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering is on using games to collect datasets to support research in computational linguistics.The role and dutiesDuties of the post will include developing exciting games-with-a-purpose for mobile phones or social media platforms that can attract and be used by thousands of players to collect data for computational linguistics; leading and co-authoring a range of outputs of the project; contributing to the dissemination of research findings to a range of stakeholders and audiences, including helping to maintain the project's web page.The qualifications and skills requiredThe successful candidate should hold a first degree in computer science, computer game development or a related discipline. The candidate is also expected to have excellent analysis and abstraction skills and an interest in working in a research environment. Advanced programming skills are also essential.
