Estate ManagementEstate Management design, repair, maintain and secure all campuses. We aim to provide a seamless service to all students, staff and visitors. Covering a multitude of services, we are available to assist with any issue concerning the University estate and grounds.
The Role and DutiesThis is a key position to ensure that financial transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner and providing day-to-day finance support to the Estates Management section. The team also maintain the Facilities Management software package.
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in finance, book-keeping and systems, who is willing to take the lead in developing a professional, high quality, finance function to support the Estate Management team in delivering their objectives.
Duties will include reviewing budgetary control reports against expense reports; preparing and issuing sales invoices and recharges; reviewing overtime, hourly pay and allowance calculations; and dealing with queries relating to monthly salaries and expenses.
Qualifications and Skills requiredThe successful candidate will hold an intermediate AAT or have made substantial progress towards such a qualification.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Windows Explorer, previous experience of working with a computerised accounting system and the ability to work to demanding deadlines with a high degree of accuracy are all essential for the post.
This post is fixed-term for an initial period of 1 year with the possibility for further extension or permanency pending a review.
