New academic staff are supported to become fellows of the Higher Education Authority and we champion research-led education, where teaching is informed by research and students develop research skills.The Human Rights Centre, based within the Law School are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the team in the role of Project Manager, The Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project.Duties of the RoleAs a key member of the team, the post holder will manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project, which is housed at the University's Human Rights Centre and will deliver strategically important projects and initiatives on time and within budget.Responsibilities will include co-ordinating research progress, undertaking internal and external communications, including research dissemination, overseeing recruitment of project staff, appointment of external consultants and visiting fellows and developing key documentation. Skills and qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have experience of working as a project manager in any context and/or supporting a research project, as well as excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to engage and persuade others, ensuring the needs of key stakeholders are met, resources are used effectively and benefits are maximised.
