The Department of History at the University of Essex is a group of international scholars studying the history of almost every continent, and has an international reputation for its innovative research into the histories of diversity, citizenship and identity-formation in a globalized context. The Roles and DutiesWe wish to appoint a scholar with research expertise in Modern British History, and an ability to teach Modern British history. The post is fixed term from 01/09/2017-31/08/2018.Qualifications and Skills RequiredYou will have completed a PhD in some aspect of Modern British History (since 1800) and will have Higher Education Teaching Experience in Modern British History.
