Following an extensive, GBP 11million refurbishment, this is an exciting opportunity for an established chef to join our team in a busy and challenging environment which includes a 110 cover modern Brasserie and 120 cover banqueting facilities.
The Role and DutiesThe successful candidate will support the Head Chef in leading a large brigade of chefs and working with students of the Edge Hotel School. If you are organised, ambitious, have an eye for detail and a real passion for creating fresh, locally sourced dishes then we'd like you to join our team.
Qualifications and Skills requiredCandidates will have experience working as a Chef at a similar level within 4 or 5 star hotels or within quality restaurant establishments. Ideally you will hold a relevant NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent and a minimum of an intermediate level food handler certificate. You will be an excellent mentor, be able to coach and develop your team and student practitioners, and have a working knowledge of budgets and menu planning.
