We are looking to recruit a number of academics to our Nursing division on either a part-time or full-time basis.
We particularly welcome applications from those with expertise in the following areas:
Mental Health Nursing
Adult Nursing
If you have other areas of expertise, we`d be delighted to hear from you. These may include: teaching, student support, assessment and feedback.
The purpose of these posts will be to take an active part in the delivery and development of the nursing programmes in the School; engaging effectively in substantive teaching and learning support roles and producing research outputs for publication, along with developing a research agenda (for research contracts).
About you
You will have a relevant doctoral level degree or equivalent professional experience or practice or be close to completion of PhD, NMC registration and experience of designing and planning learning activities (modules, programmes of study, etc.), developing effective learning environments (face-to-face and/or virtual) and approaches to student support and guidance.
For those applying for research contracts, you will have a clear publication plan for submission to future Research Excellence Framework (REF) programmes and evidence of a research agenda, engagement in high-quality research activity and a developing research profile.

Please state within the application which level contract you are applying for (ASE or ASER) and whether full-time or part-time. If you are applying ASE level, you will not need to submit a research statement or a three-year funding plan.
These posts will ideally be based at our Southend campus, however, we may be able to consider Colchester campus.
