The UK Data Archive is seeking a highly organised and service-focused Departmental Administrator to join our Business Strategy and Operations team on a part-time, job-share basis.
You will work in close partnership with an existing post-holder to ensure seamless day-to-day administrative support and continuity of service across the organisation. Working patterns and hours will be agreed between the successful candidate, the job-share partner, and the line manager to meet business needs.
You will provide high-quality administrative support to colleagues across the organisation, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations. Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating staff business travel and related logistics• Managing calendars, meeting room bookings, and shared inboxes• Overseeing facilities requests and general office operations• Delivering a professional front-of-house and reception service as the first point of contact• Supporting HR and recruitment administration• Working collaboratively within the job-share arrangement to maintain consistent communication and service delivery

You will bring:
• Proven experience working within a busy administrative environment supporting multiple business processes.• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.• Confidence using digital systems (e.g. calendars, databases, booking systems, online workflows)• A proactive, flexible approach and strong attention to detail.

This post is part-time (21.6 hours per week) and fixed term until 31 March 2030 in the first instance.
